Today’s topic was “re-inspired” by Jason Scott, a listener who emailed me to let me know he enjoyed my Mark Yarnell interview and the phrase I often use - Gangster Income

Good afternoon.
You don’t know me but I started building online a few years.
Finding your stuff was verification that I’m on the right track as long as I keep creating good content and getting better everyday.
I just listened to your podcast interview with Mark Yarnell and it was fantastic! So thank you for that interview.
I listen to a lot of stuff and most of it’s average but that was really, really good!
Also, since I’m reaching out anyway, you might get a kick out of my article that was inspired by you.
You inspired it with a phrase I’ve only ever heard you say… “gangster income”.
One those tough days I’m not sure about this online content creation and attraction marketing thing… a voice always shows up to verify what I’m doing.
You have often been one of those voices. So thank you and have a great afternoon.
Though you’ve never met me, you’ve helped me in my journey and I really appreciate what you’ve done.

So, let’s talk about Gangster income, a term that I can trace back to 2012, although I think I’ve used it longer than that. This is from my Profit in Your PJs report from back then!
You have to know a few things:
It IS possible. I’ve done it. It took a radical shift in my thinking.
You can do it too, and it may require the same type of radical shift in your thinking.
You must decide. REALLY decide. And only YOU know if you have truly decided.

Google knows - what’s going on. There's no better time.
It’s crowded with junk. Be a leader who stands out.
There’s already enough junk.
It won’t chase you, you must chase it.
Okay…
Let’s do some creative mindwork.
Close your eyes and dream about that perfect business that gets you excited; makes you want to jump up and shout; and move into inspired action to make it a reality.
Wouldn't you like to create a future vision that pulls you forward and into action? Wouldn't you also like to be having fun with it NOW, as you build it?
Great, let's take some steps and make that happen!
Have fun; don't be practical or worry about how you are going to make it happen. Be outrageous and have some fun.
Here are some questions to play with:
Do I have a primary business, and if so, what is it?
If not, what do I see myself marketing online to make a "Gangster Income?"
What do I want my lifestyle to be like?
What does my virtual business work consist of?
How much time do I want to invest weekly?
What is my marketing budget? You must have a budget!
What do I want to earn monthly?
Do I travel?
Internationally?
How often?
Will I be developing my own products or selling the products of others?
Do I speak onstage at events?
Host my own events?
Who is my target audience? My ideal client.
What does a typical business day look like? What else do I need to plan to develop the business of my dreams?
My plan to "get there" is:
How do I attract leads for my business offline? Online? What do I need to support me in achieving this?
How do I feel about what I have created here?
Do I have a burning desire? Am I truly committed to doing whatever it takes?
Is that what I am currently creating?
Answering these question regularly is a great way to evaluate if you are on track to earning gangster income, and if you are committed to it. Truly committed.
If you aren’t feeling particularly happy right now in some area of your life it’s because you are in a state of resistance.
There is where you are and where you want to be. The part in the middle is the resistance. Those are the two lives we lead!
We have two lives in many areas of our lives.
We start a diet, to lose twenty pounds.
We stay on it for a day and a half.
We start a business and flounder.
We lay in bed, staring at the ceiling, thinking of that other life we want to be living. The one where we are skinny; buff and toned; with perfect skin and teeth; with a business or career that brings us joy and gangster income.
For most of us, we know exactly what we must do to cross over to that other life; to live it.
But, it’s resistance that keeps us stuck where we are.
We eat the pizza; go to happy hour instead of the gym; put off taking action in our business until tomorrow.
Do you feel me? Am I striking a nerve here?
We argue with where we are, and that keeps us further stuck. We fill our brain with these thoughts and so solutions to our dilemma remain at bay.
We look everywhere on the outside for the answer to our struggles, but it is within us all along. It’s the resistance to taking the right actions.
Commitment is scary, in many ways. It puts the responsibility squarely on us.
Think about one “other life” that you would like to be living. What is the resistance you are creating that’s stopping you from being there?
Now, PLEASE don’t fall into victim mode here and start coming up with every excuse outside of you and your lame actions that are stopping you.
If you have a smartphone, and I’m guessing you do, listening to this; then you have access to the best education to get you out of stuck in any area.
